Montgomery...The City that Gives Back; Montgomery Groups Come Together to Give Back

Connect Montgomery’s Making a Difference Day event is October 22 and over eighteen community groups are gearing up to make a unified impact in Montgomery and surrounding communities. You too can get involved and be part of this community effort to give back!

Connect Montgomery, the civic collaborative composed of community organizations serving Montgomery, is working to make a difference, and is urging others to join this collective effort by identifying a project that motivates their group. Groups and individuals are also invited to get involved on one of the group projects already planned, then go out and make a difference as part of this day of service.

The following organizations have committed to service projects as part of Connect Montgomery’s Making A Difference Day:
• Ascension Lutheran Church,
• Blue Ash Montgomery Rotary Club,
• Blue Ash Montgomery Symphony Orchestra,
• the City of Montgomery,
• Edwin H. Greene Intermediate School and PTO,
• Heritage Girls,
• Kindervelt #22,
• Moeller High School,
• Montgomery Chamber of Commerce,
• Montgomery Farmers’ Market,
• Montgomery Citizens’ Leadership Academy Class of 2011,
• Montgomery Kiwanis,
• Montgomery Masons,
• Montgomery Moms,
• Montgomery Woods Neighborhood,
• Northeast Community Challenge Coalition,

• and Twin Lakes Senior Living Community.

You can join the efforts of any one of these groups and do your part to give back and be part of this community-wide effort.

Visit www.montgomeryohio.org or www.connectmontgomery.org for more information including a listing of the service projects and the group leader’s contact information for those interested in getting involved.

The Blue Ash Montgomery Rotary Club is sponsoring a Kick-off Breakfast for Saturday, October 22 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Ascension Lutheran Church, 7333 Pfeiffer Road. Families, groups and individuals are invited to this breakfast to meet and connect with other community members before they start their service projects. Suggested donations of $3.00 per person will go to Operation Give Back. Operation Give Back, located at 11335 Reed Hartman Highway, is a nonprofit organization committed to making a positive impact in our community by promoting education, personal/spiritual growth and civic unity.
